思覺失調症患者阿賢雖然有哥哥阿明及嫂嫂秀芬的愛和關心，卻因病症帶來的自我懷疑使得這份愛受到曲解，當世界遭受到挑戰的阿賢做出了反擊，反而讓家人活在恐懼之中。面對婚姻與親情選擇題的阿明，與究竟屈服或反抗疾病的阿賢，兄弟倆如何在各自認知的世界裡，找到屬於自己的答案。

Schizophrenia patient Hsien is loved and cared for by his elder brother Ming and his sister-in-law Hsiu-Fen. Hsien’s constant battle with his mental disorder causes him to begin doubting the love given by his family. With his world threatened, Hsien retaliates, causing fear to his family members.

While Ming is faced with the choice between his marriage and kinship, Hsien continues his battle against the disorder. Does Hsien give up and allow the disorder to take over, or does he continue to fight against it? How will the brothers find answers through their understanding of the world?

創作動機

「隨機殺人事件」是近幾年台灣時常發生的憾事，撻伐、檢討和悲憫充斥整個社會，而多數加害人都宣稱自己患有「精神疾病」，使得網路上有許多關於「精神疾病」的偏激言論。

殺人本該受到制裁以弭平受害者家屬失去親人的痛，但追根究柢，真正的精神疾病患者真的如新聞報導得都毫無人性？或者他們其實是被汙名化的呢？

In recent times, random killings have become more frequent in Taiwan, with public outrage, reflection and compassion engulfing the society. Perpetrators proclaim themselves victims of mental disorders causing hate comments about metal disorders to surface from the Internet.

In a lawful society, committing a murder should be punishable by law to make up for the grief of losing a close one, but are people with mental disorders really what the news make them up to be, cruel and inhumane? Or are they in actual fact, misunderstood?
