人生就像太陽的升起和落下，總有如意和不如意的時候，只有當下是最真實擁有的。「今日鹽埕埔」以1960年代的高雄做為背景，故事情節描寫了純樸
的愛情及人性的貪婪，除了紀念兩人深刻的愛情之外，也希望藉由此故事突顯貪婪的不可取。
劇情大綱 Synopsis
1960年代，鹽埕埔為高雄最繁榮的地區，充滿舶來品的崛江商圈更是人車鼎沸。早期小吃攤並不盛行，「西瓜大王」是當時最有名的水果店，老闆娘的女兒張翠枝是個充滿正義感的女孩，卻經常被客人說不像個女孩子。另一方面，住在台中的男孩林金昌，家中並不富裕，因此夢想著有天能賺大錢改善家中經濟，而淘金夢也一直存在於他的心中。
意外的邂逅和重逢使兩人不可自拔地愛上了彼此，某天林金昌在軍中得知了明朝海道林道乾埋黃金在柴山的故事後，決定組成淘金大隊前往柴山一探究竟…
In the 1960s, Yanchengpu was the most prosperous area of Kaohsiung, especially the Kuchan Shopping District where filled with imported goods. "Watermelon King" was the most famous fruit shop, the boss's daughter Cheng Tsui-Chih is a girl with sense of justice. However, she is often said that she is not act like a girl. On the other hand, there is a boy called Lin Jin-Chang, he was born in a poor family in Taichung, looking forward to make a lot of money to lighten their financial burden someday. Meanwhile,
the thought of panning for gold has grown in his mind. On account of an accidental encounter, Cheng Tsui-Chih and Lin Jin-Chang fall in love with each other. One day, Lin Jin-Chang learned that there was a pirate called Lim To-Khiam buried huge amount of gold in the Tzaishan in the Ming Dynasty. He decided forming a team to check it out…
創作緣由
若能以自身經歷或生活周邊所發生的真實事件做為題材，一部劇本就越能貼近人心。
高雄是我的家鄉，小時候阿公常帶著我和姐姐去柴山爬山，一邊講著埋金山的故事。而阿嬤則是常常和我們提起小時候在鹽埕區的生活，包含了和阿公相遇的愛情故事。以此劇本紀念我的阿公、阿嬤兩人深刻的愛情，以及1960年代高雄人在鹽埕埔的記憶。
If you choose your own experience or life story from others around you as the subject matter in the script, it would be close to people. I was born in Kaohsiung. When I was a child, my grandfather often took me and my sister going mountain climbing in Chai Shan. That was the first time I learned the story of pirate Lim To-Khiam. On the other hand, my grandmother often told the story of Yanchengpu, including her life in the
fruit store "Watermelon King" and the love story with grandfather. With this script, I wish to remember my grandfather and my grandmother’s deep love, as well as the memories of Kaohsiung people in 1960s.
