作品介紹
緊鄰副都心、坐擁交通樞紐，佔地468公頃的塭仔圳即將進行都市重劃，新興的優質生態住宅區將吸引九萬多人移入，加速新莊發展、蛻變，打造國際級的新都心。看似美好的藍圖，卻要趕走當地眾多的居民，龐大種類繁多的產業鍊，只被當成阻礙都市進步的絆腳石，成千上萬的家庭失去生計、流離失所，為了成就「都市的發展」。付出巨大的代價後，塭仔圳真能如願成為計畫中的國際級新都心？還是所謂的「發展」只是憑空想像的蜃樓海市？
Government planned to build secondary urban center in Xinzhuang. In order to encourage development, they started Urban consolidation in WenZaiZhen. But the consolidation plan will cause massive evictions, thousands of families and factories will be displaced. After paying heavy price, will WenZaiZen become the international urban center? Or it’s only a wishful imagination, like Fata Morgana’s city in the air.

創作動機
面臨少子化的台灣，房價卻矛盾地和空屋率一樣居高不下，眾多重劃區、大型造鎮計畫舉著發展的大旗，聲稱要蓋大量住宅以量制價，實際上卻是在掠奪人民的土地和財產，好讓炒作、投機的圈地遊戲可以繼續。儘管未來依舊一片迷茫，仍希望這荒謬的一切能夠停止。
Despite the high vacancy and the low population growth, the house price in Taiwan is still incredibly high. The government claims the urban consolidation or renewal will make the city better. In facts, people are evicted, and their home are taken as the game-board of Monopoly. Although the future is uncertain, I still hope that the ridiculous plan and evictions will be stopped.
